Word print over several sectio

2007/04/24 by Lassi A. Liikkanen

Printing multi-section documents in Word

If you splice a word document into multiple sections, you can restart the page numbering and create a non-linear page numbering. For instance, for section 1 from 1 to 5, for section 2 from 1 to 47 etc. When you try to print this kind of document, bad things can happen. To determine the page range you'd like to print, use the following:

p2s1-p5s1, p1s2-p4s2
this will print pages 2-5 from section one, and pages 1-4 from section two. The general form is:
pXsN-pYsN
where X stands for starting page, Y for ending page and N is the section number.
